You get a grace period after the due date with a banner reminder. If it lapses past grace, the workspace becomes read-only until it's settled — nothing is deleted, and one click reactivates it.
Yes. Every list exports to CSV, and Settings → Data has a full per-category backup (download-all as a ZIP).
